  • Another great live piece!

I've been an avid Gary Numan follower for a few years and I went to see him perform 'The Pleasure Principle' in Sheffield on this tour. The original album was a classic and granted it was FAR before my time...i loved it upon first hearing it and was curious as to what it would sound like live... Numan has always stepped up a notch in his live work and this album for me captures the atmopshere of the gig all in one. When the opening note of 'Random' starts, i still get chills down my spine! In my opinion i think Numan did right by playing it how it was originally done (no added industrial effects). Made the songs sound better and more original. People have been criticising him for doing some new songs along with the old but i think it worked well. The songs flow very well together. Gary tries to give everyone something they like...and this album does that for me. Highlights- Cars (of course!), The Fall (new track not released), A Prayer for the Unborn (just a damn good song live) & Airlane (excellent synth number) If you're a Numan fan, i recommend this album without hesitation! Well worth adding to your collection :-)
