  • As Expected

Just what we expected from Jake Shears after the Scissor Sisters hiatus. Full of thoughtful lyrics, gay numbers and proper stompers. A great debut solo album and I thoroughly recommend it. Thanks Jake, you have made this summer fabulous!

At least the first Scissor Sisters album was something special. This is absolutely terrible. Sorry Jake.
  • 2000 and late...

Had Mr. Shears released this shortly after the Scissor Sisters had gone on a hiatus I can imagine it would have sounded fresh and relevant for the time. However this kind of music feels very dated and given some of his previous work I have to say I’m very disappointed.

Great record! 🖤 Some scissor sisters sound in there and some truly original tracks. Real mix of emotions, Yes Jake! 👏🏼
  • Disappointing

Was really looking forward to Jakes new album, it’s a nice collection of songs, nothing groundbreaking or nothing what we haven’t heard before either from Jake or the SS, was hoping for a bit more of a change stylistically, stand out tracks - Big Bushy, Clothes Off and Creep City.....shame

An album filled with joy. Part Scissors, part old school Elton but ultimately unique to him, shears has made an album worthy of his legacy as front man and songwriter of one of the most successful bands of the noughties. Fab!

    Cringe too.
  • Well worth the wait

This album is so damn good, the wait was so worth it. It’s in the scissor sisters style of disco rock but with a definite Jake edge. I just love it, Mustache, S.O.B and Bruiser being personal highlights for me. Go buy it, you’ll love it too

Jake has produced a great solo record with flourishes of scissor sisters. Co written on some tracks with baby daddy . Great album , also check out big bushy mustachios and creep city,
