Some intros just don’t blend , Wouldn’t It Be Nice for one.
The tracks that work best are the early recordings with very little
original orchestration. The opening California Suite captures the essence of the Beach Boys but is way too short. I hope we have a follow up of tracks not used on this album. More adventurous orchestration please
Not bad but !!!!

Very good sound orchestral effects only downside ?? Vocals very monoish ???🙉🙉👎👎
Preview amples do not do this album justice
Having listened to the preview samples I thought that as I alrerady had The Beach Boys originals why bother, But, its only when you listen to the complete album can you appreciate the whole quality of this production. The full orchestral lead in to the vocals really works and the little touches in mid track makes this a great Album and a proper addition to any back catalogue .
Fun Fun fun!
The original tunes were perfection but the RPO has just taken them to another level, even Bian Wilson has applauded the 'enhancement' to these classic songs and it takes some doing to get that sort of response. And it's not just the additional into's either, listen carefully and you can pick up subtle instrument additions through every track. I absolutely love this album and will also bag myself a copy of the vinyl when it comes out in August. Well worth the buy.
This album is truly magnificent, who would have thought “Fun Fun Fun” could sound so good with added strings, but to turn “Good Vibrations “ from the perfect piece of music it was into this wonderful new sound is unbelievable
Beach Boys with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra
A beautiful collection of these great songs with the added great sounds of the Orchestra accompanying the boys. Well worth a listen. J w Law

What an antidote to the rubbish “music” of today!
I Can Hear Music
By The Big Cuboid
An intersting concept - in part. I would have liked to have heard other tracks, and could have doen without some of the ones included. There are a couple of good versions but not enough to warrant buying the whole album, so I'll just download the couple that I like.
Very good but un-necessary
The original classic songs on this album (excl. the awful Kokomo) are masterpieces of pop music. The word, lyrics and production. They could not be replicated or bettered and yet we are still presented with this album. It features the vocal tracks from the originals laid on top of backing tracks played very well by the RPO. In addition to that, there are newly-added symphonic intros before the main songs kick in. Now, the songs are still excellent and the orchestra are great BUT they just aren't as good as the original single/album releases. The RPO through no fault of their own can't add anything to improve on the originals and the mix on a couple of the tracks buries the vocals a bit. Its a nice listen though and if the intention was to try something new then fair enough but let Brian write some new songs and get the RPO to record them. You don't have to mess around with the formula of the originals, eh Mike??
